that your fingers do not become
caught between the rotating
blades and stationary parts of
the machine.
• Ensure that only replacement
cutting tools approved by the
manufacturer are used.
Electrical safety:
• Make sure that the mains volt-
age matches the details on the
type plate.
• Avoid body contact with
earthed parts (e.g. metal fences,
metal posts).
• Keep the power cord away from
the cutting tool when working.
The cutting blades can damage
the power cord and lead to con-
tact with live parts.
• Do not use the power cord to
pull the plug from the outlet. Pro-
tect the power cord from heat,
oil and sharp edges.
• Switch the device off and pull
the mains plug out of the outlet
if the power cord is damaged.
If the cord of this device is dam-
aged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer or their customer
service or by a similarly qual-
ified person in order to avoid
hazards.
• Do not connect a damaged
power cord to the power sup-
ply. Do not touch a damaged
power cord as long as it is con-
nected to the power supply. A
damaged power cord can result
46
in voltage-carrying parts being
touched.
• Only connect the machine and/
or its peripherals to supply cir-
cuits protected by a residual cur-
rent device with a rated residual
current of no more than 30 mA.
Special safety instructions for
battery-powered devices:
• Ensure that the device is
switched off before inserting the
rechargeable battery. Inserting
a battery into a power tool that
is switched on can lead to acci-
dents.
• Only charge your batteries in-
doors since the charger is not
designed for outdoor use. Dan-
ger of electric shock.
• In order to minimise the risk of
electric shock, pull the charger
plug out of the outlet prior to
cleaning it.
• Do not expose the battery to
direct sunlight for long periods
and do not place it on a radia-
tor. Heat damages the battery
and there is a risk of explosion.
• If warm, allow the battery to
cool before charging.
• Do not open the battery and
avoid mechanical damage to
the battery. There is a risk of a
short circuit and vapours may
leak out, causing irritation to
the respiratory tract. Seek fresh
air and also seek medical assis-
tance in case of complaints.
