Automatic clutch (Brutale RR SCS)
The Brutale RR SCS model is equipped with an automatic clutch system which automatically engages or
disengages the clutch. This system allows to engage a gear with the motorcycle stationary without pulling
the clutch lever, and it allows standing starts by only rotating the throttle twist grip. Moreover, the auto-
matic clutch operation increases the traction and virtually avoids any accidental shutoff of the engine.
As an alternative, the presence of the automatic clutch allows anyway to use the clutch lever to:
- disconnect the driving torque of the engine from the gearbox;
- change the gear ratio, both with motorcycle in motion or stationary;
- change gear into neutral position.
When riding the vehicle, it is always possible to increase or decrease the gear ratio without pulling the
clutch lever, thanks to the activation of the "Quick Shift" system.
The presence of the automatic clutch allows the standing start of the vehicle by using the whole availa-
ble driving torque of the engine when the first or second gear is engaged. When a higher gear is enga-
ged, standing starts are prevented by the activation of the "Creep Limiter" function, in order to avoid
damage to the automatic clutch and to preserve its integrity and functionality.
WARNING: Before riding, it is recommended to familiarize yourself with the operation of the
automatic clutch by practising in an area closed to traffic.
• Do not attempt to ride the vehicle on public roads until you are completely familiarized
with the operation of the automatic clutch.
• Do not allow anyone unfamiliar with the operation of the automatic clutch to ride the
vehicle.
