Operating the device -
using sandwiches as example
1. Insert the sandwich plates (15) into the
appliance as described in the section Chan-
ging the function plates (page 15).
2. Fold the lid (6) downwards.
3. Insert the plug into the mains socket.
The red power indicator (2) and the green
temperature indicator (3) light up and the
appliance starts heating. This can take a few
minutes.
NOTE
►
In the mean time, prepare your
sandwiches and then fill to taste, e. g., with
salami and cheese.
►
Do not use too much cheese. Melted
cheese can ooze out of the sides of the
sandwiches.
4. Wait until the green temperature indicator
(3) extinguishes.
5. Open the lid (6) of the appliance and
lay the prepared sandwiches onto the lower
function plate.
6. Slowly press the lid (6) downwards and
fold down the lid locking latch (5).
7. During baking, lift the lid (6) briefly to
check the progress. Depending on the filling,
this will take between 4 and 6 minutes.
8. Open the lid (6) and remove the finished
sandwiches with a wooden or heat-proof
spatula.
NOTE
►
If you wish to prepare further sand-
wiches, wait until the green temperature
indicator (3) extinguishes. The appliance
has then reached the right baking tempera-
ture.
