5.2 Installing the ISOFIX Base
To install the ISOFIX Base, read the operating instructions included
with the product.
6 Fitting the child seat
6.1 Rear-facing installation (approx. 1-3 years)

► Place the baby seat on the ISOFIX Base facing away from the direc-
tion of travel
■ When inserting the child seat, make sure that the retaining rod on
the rear of the child seat catches below the front fasteners (6) on
the child seat mounting base
► Push the child seat using rear side (black-white markings) onto the
ISOFIX Base until it audibly engages
■ The two child seat release knobs (5) must have switched to green
WARNING
Danger to life!
Never fasten a rear-facing child seat on the front passenger seat if
the front passenger airbag is activated.
If, in exceptional cases, it is necessary to carry a child on the front
passenger seat, deactivate the front passenger airbag.
NOTE:
You can also pull on the child seat to ensure it is correctly located.
The seat must no longer work loose from the ISOFIX Base.

► Position the child safety seat in the direction of travel on the ISOFIX
Base
■ When inserting the child seat, make sure that the retaining rod on
the front of the child seat catches below the front fasteners (6) on
the child seat mounting base
► Push the child seat using rear side (black-white markings) onto the

6.3 Removing the child seat

► Push one of the side release knobs (5) on the ISOFIX Base and re-
move the child seat from the vehicle
WARNING
Risk of injury!
Always remove the child safety seat from the vehicle when your
child is not in the seat. Falling out could result in serious injury.
6.4 Removing the ISOFIX Base
To remove the ISOFIX Base, read the operating instructions
included with the product.
