Care and maintenance
► The removable cover can be washed in accordance with the infor-
mation provided on the washing label. Closely follow the washing in-
structions. The cover fabric may fade with washing
► Clean the plastic parts using a mild soap solution. Do not use caustic
agents, e.g. solvents, for cleaning

Removing the cover

WARNING
Danger to life!
Never use the child seat without the cover and belt system. This
could cause serious or fatal injuries to a child in an accident.
WARNING
Risk of injury!
A replacement seat cover must have been recommended by the
manufacturer, as the cover is an essential part of the system's
safety performance.
► Loosen the belt
■ To do this, read chapter 7.1 Loosening the belts on page 15.
► Undo the belt buckle by pushing the red button
► Detach the tensioning belt (10) from the push button
► Unhook the rear of the shoulder strap loops from the connecting pla-
te (14)
► Pull the shoulder straps (9) forwards out of the belt slots in the cover
and out of the shoulder pads
► Unhook the belt that connects the shoulder strap pads to the rear of
the child seat from the retaining tabs on the height adjuster (13), and
pull out the two shoulder strap pads backwards
► Carefully detach the head restraint pad (8) by pulling the fabric po-
ckets from the guide plate
► Remove the head restraint pads (8)

Always remove the airpads first from the two head restraint pads
before cleaning the cover.
The airpads must not be washed, as they will lose their function of
being a safety system.

► Detach the side tensioning lips (15) on the cover (16) and pull them
over the edge of the child seat
► Push the belt buckle downwards through the cover padding
► Pull the two latch plates (11) through the lap padding (17) and remo-
ve them
► Carefully push the latch plates (11) through the corresponding ope-
nings in the cover and pull them with the belts through the cover
► Pull out the cover beneath the guide plate for the head restraint
■ Adjusting the guide plate makes removal easier
■ To do this, read chapter 7.2 Adjusting the belt height (head res-
traint) on page 15.
► Pull the cover off the child seat from the top
