Operation
7.1
Loosening the belts

► Using one hand, pull the belt release (12) upwards
► With the other hand, loosen the belts
■ Pull out the belts in an even motion
■ The belts must not be twisted in the process
7.2
Adjusting the belt height (head restraint)

► Loosen the belt
■ To do this, read chapter 7.1 Loosening the belts on page 15.
► Push the height adjuster (13) together and set the belts to the re-
quired position
■ The height adjuster (13) audibly engages
■ Adjust the belt height according to the body height and the instal-
lation direction of the child seat
NOTE:
With a rear-facing child seat, make sure that the shoulder straps
run behind (Position I) the child's shoulders.
With a front-facing child safety seat, make sure that the shoulder
straps run at the same height (Position III) or slightly above
(Position II) the child's shoulders.

Buckling up the child

► Undo the belt buckle by pushing the red button and separating the
latch plates (11)
► Place the latch plates to the side over the child seat
► Place your child in the child seat

► Carefully guide the child's arms beneath the shoulder straps
► Bring the two latch plates (11) together and insert into the belt buckle
■ The buckle must audibly engage
NOTE:
Check the belt height is correct, and adjust if necessary.
To do this, read chapter 7.2 Adjusting the belt height (head res-
traint) on page 15.
7.4
Tightening the belts

► Pull the tensioning belt (10) at the foot end of the child seat
■ Pull the tensioning belt (10) straight out towards the front
► Tighten the belts until they are in close contact with the child's body.
To prevent the tensioning belt (10) from being trapped or caught,
and therefore unintentionally tightened, it should be fastened to the
cover using the push button.
NOTE:
Make sure that the child's clothing does not prevent the child being
secured in the baby seat. If necessary, remove thicker garments
before buckling.
