► Insert the cover into the child seat from the top
■ Make sure that the cover is pushed beneath the top part of the gui-
de plate
■ Adjusting the guide plate makes removal easier
■ To do this, read chapter 7.2 Adjusting the belt height (head res-
traint) on page 15.
► Carefully push the latch plates (11) through the corresponding ope-
nings in the cover and pull them with the belts through the cover
WARNING
Danger to life!
The belts must not be twisted and must remain flat. A twisted belt
could cause serious or fatal injury to a child in an accident.
► Pull the two latch plates (11) through the two lap pads (17) and push
them up to the end of the belt (towards the child seat)
► Push the belt buckle down through the cover padding
► Pull the tensioning belt (10) through the corresponding cover ope-
ning and fasten it to the push button
► Pull the clamping lips over the edge of the child seat

► Bring the two latch plates together and clip them in the belt buckle
► Carefully pull the fabric pockets at the top and bottom of the head
restraint cover over the guide plate
► Insert the two joined shoulder strap pads from behind through the
openings on the height adjuster (13) and on the head restraint cover;
the shoulder pad belt should lie over the bolts of the height adjuster
(13) and the rubber-coated surfaces of the shoulder strap pad
should face downwards.
► Guide the shoulder pad belt beneath the four hooks on the height
adjuster (13)
► Guide the shoulder strap loops from the front through the shoulder
pad, the two openings in the head restraint cover and the belt ope-
nings in the child seat
■ Make sure that the belt is above the head restraint height adjuster
and the shoulder pad belt

► Hook the belts (9) using the shoulder strap loops into the connecting
plate (14)
► Carefully pull the fabric pockets at the top and bottom of the head
restraint cover over the guide plate
► Tighten the belts (9) evenly using the tensioning belt (10)
■ To do this, read chapter 7.4 Tightening the belts on page 15.
