Descaling
Descaling procedure
When the Espresso and Lungo buttons blink simultaneously a few times after
brewing a drink, your machine needs to be descaled. Use Philips CA6700
descaler.
1 Remove the drip tray from the platform and put a container with a capacity
of at least 40.6 oz under the coffee spout.
2 Pour half a bottle (4.2 oz) of Philips CA6700 liquid descaler into the water
tank.
3 Fill up the water tank with fresh tap water.
4 Insert the portafilter. Make sure that there is no coffee puck in the portafilter.
Note: The portafilter needs to be inserted to be able to start the descaling
process.
