Possible cause
No power
Router unit's power switch is OFF
Levelling screws are not correctly adjusted
Rough surface
Check router cutter is correctly fitted
Other fittings have worked loose
Router has worked loose from router mounting
Check vacuum system bag or cylinder is not full
Check dust extraction is switched ON
Check dust extraction is properly connected
Check router cutter is sharp and in good condition
Check router speed is correct
Cut is too deep per pass
Workpiece incorrectly positioned
Fence incorrectly positioned
Workpiece direction incorrect
Featherboards not correctly used
Check power supply
Reset router power switch
Refer to 'Levelling the router module' section
Ensure the Workcentre is situated on a secure flat surface. Relocate the table if the ground is found
to be rough
Tighten collet assembly
Check fittings
Secure router correctly and tighten fittings
Replace bag or empty cylinder
Switch ON
Make sure everything is correctly assembled along the whole dust extraction assembly and hose
Replace if dull or worn
Set the speed correctly on router unit
Complete work in multiple passes
