General information
Read and follow all instructions in this manual before operating the equipment. Failure to
follow these instructions may cause serious personal injury.
• Never operate the engine in a confined space or poorly ventilated areas. Engine exhaust gases
contain carbon monoxide, an odorless and deadly gas.
• Before cleaning, repairing, or inspecting, ensure that the blades and all moving parts have stopped.
Disconnect the spark plug cable from the engine to prevent unintentional engine starting.
• Check the blades and engine fixing screws at frequent intervals and make sure they are properly
tightened. In addition, carry out a visual inspection to check that the blades, their fixing screws and
the cutting set have not been worn or damaged (e.g., bent, cracked, worn). Only replace the blades
with original parts. The use of parts that do not meet original equipment specifications may lead to
inadequate performance and compromise safety.
• Mower blades are sharp and can cause accidents. Cover the blade or wear gloves and take extra
care when servicing it.
• Keep nuts and screws tight to make sure the equipment is in safe condition for use.
• Never modify safety devices. Check its correct working condition regularly.
• After colliding with any foreign object, turn off the engine and disconnect the spark plug cable. Carefully
inspect the equipment and check for any damage. Repair it, if necessary, before starting again.
• Never attempt to adjust the cutting height or wheels while the engine is running.
• Components such as the grass collector, lateral deflector and rear deflector are subject to wear and
damage, which can expose moving parts or allow objects to be thrown. For your safety, frequently
check the components and, if necessary, immediately replace them with original Tramontina
parts. The use of parts that do not meet original equipment specifications may lead to inadequate
performance and compromise safety.
• Do not change the engine speed governor settings or accelerate the engine excessively. The engine
speed governor controls the maximum safety operating speed of the engine.
• Check the fuel line, tank, cover and accessories frequently to ensure there are no cracks or leaks.
Replace if necessary.
• Do not start the engine with the spark plug removed.
