∙ Always set the rotary control to 'Off –
Release' before removing the water fi ll
lid or the fi lter holder; place a suitable
container under the steam nozzle.
∙ Caution: The glass carafe, fi lter holder
and steam tube heat up during operation.
∙ Caution: Always keep your hands well
away from the outlet openings (boiler
outlet, fi lter holder, steam nozzle) during
operation: danger of scalding.
∙ Do not open the steam nozzle unless
a suitable container has been placed
underneath. Caution: There is a danger
of scalding from hot steam being emitted.
∙ Before the espresso maker is switched
on, ensure that the appliance has been
fi lled with water, and that the fi lter holder,
glass carafe and drip tray have been
correctly fi tted.
∙ During operation, the appliance must
be placed on a level, non-slip surface,
impervious to splashes and stains.
∙ The power cord must be kept well away
from hot parts of the appliance.
∙ Do not leave the espresso maker
unattended while in use. Do not position
the appliance on or near hot surfaces,
open fl ames or infl ammable vapours.
∙ Caution: Keep any packaging materials
well away from children – these materials
are a potential source of danger, e.g. of
suffocation.
∙ Always remove the plug from the wall
socket
- in case of any malfunction,
- before cleaning the appliance, and also
- after use.
∙ When removing the plug from the wall
socket, never pull on the power cord;
always grip the plug itself.
∙ Do not allow the power cord to hang free.
∙ Use only original accessory parts; the
use of any attachments other than those
provided by the manufacturer may cause
serious hazards to the user.
