4. Put the cord on your shoulder and put your hands on
the handlebar.
5. Push the product forward to keep the front pointer in
the cut line. Push the product at half speed for the
first 50 ft., if a new blade has been installed.
6. Increase the forward speed of the product until the
blade and motor can work at maximum efficiency.
Do not use more than necessary force to push the
product forward.
7. When you operate the product near a wall, lift the
front pointer. Look at the rear pointer to make sure
that you cut straight.
8. When the operation is completed, tilt the product
rearward to engage the lever that keeps the product
in tilt position.
9. Stop the motor. Refer to
15 .
10. Clean the product. Refer to
inspection on page 16 .
To stop the motor
1. Push the power switch down to stop the motor.
2. Do a check that the motor and the blade stop. Make
sure that the cutting blade can rotate freely until it is
fully stopped.

Indicator for too high motor temperature
If the motor temperature becomes too high, the indicator
(A) comes on. Fore more information refer to
Troubleshooting schedule on page 20 .
CAUTION: Do not continue to operate the
product when the indicator is on. Risk of
damage to the motor.
Overload protection
The overload protection cuts the current supply to the
motor. The overload protection engages if the motor has
too high load or the blade cannot move freely for a long
time.
To reset the overload protection
There is an inertia in the system. It is not possible to
reset the overload protection immediately. It is also not
possible to reset the overload protection while the
indicator for too high motor temperature (A) is on.
1. Wait for the motor to decrease in temperature and
the indicator to go off.
2. Push the reset button (B).
