5 OPERATING THE TOOL
5.1
Use of the tool
Before starting any operation with the tool:
Warning!
Wear suitable cloths and gloves when operating the tool. Before use check every time that the ON/OFF
switch functions properly. The tool must stop when the trigger is released. Do not use the tying tool if the
switch does not work well. Always check that the battery voltage matches that of the tying tool.
Warning!
Check the work frequency of the tying tool and select the suitable mode according to the working needs.
This will allow to keep the best tool performance and condition.
Warning!
If the front tying opening of the tool is blocked by foreign material while working, remove this material after
switching off the battery.
•
By reversing the position of the battery in the backpack, it is possible to choose the the cable output direction as
well as the hand holding the tying tool.
•
Adjust your backpack and fasten your belt.
•
Connect the cable to the battery tightly.
•
Put the switch to ON position to make the tying tool work, then start operating by pulling the trigger.
•
To save electric energy and to ensure a long life span of the tool, do not overload it. Do not use it to tie branches
exceeding a 25 mm diameter.
•
In tying is not successful, put the switch in OFF position, remove the twist tie, if there is some left in the tying
opening, then put the switch in ON position. Carry out a trial tying. If it is ok, go on working. If the tying operation
is not successful for several times, put the switch in OFF position for a deeper inspection. Open the front cover
and the tie pressing lever, check that there is no rolled up or knotted tie in the tool front opening, clean and arrange
the twist tie if necessary.
•
If the tool stops on the branch while tying, the hook cannot be pulled back. In this case, put the switch in OFF
position and manually move the hook to free the tying tool.
•
Check battery charge indicator. If the led is red, stop working and recharge the battery as soon as pob, if it is
red, stop working, and charge the battery as soon as possible.
•
Check if the diameter of the branches exceeds 25 mm.
•
Check if the tool has stopped due to any foreign materials.
5.2
Tying procedure
•
When the tool is operating, keep your hand which does not hold it at least 5 cm away from it. Do not put your
hand in the tying opening.
•
Do not use the tool to tie the branches with a diameter which is more than 25 mm, otherwise it could stop. During
the tying operation, the tool must be kept perpendicular to the branches. Do not rotate or move it while tying.
Damages to the equipment caused by incorrect operations are not covered by warranty.
•
In order to avoid that the cable gets locked among the branches while working, fix it on your arm by means of the
straps supplied.
•
During cold days or humid weather, in order to protect the battery, put it under a waterproof cloth. Do not use the
equipment during rainy days.
•
At the end of every work day, it is suggested to disconnect the tool from the battery and to put both of them, with
the switch in OFF position, into the carrying case.
•
According to the size of branches, adjust the tying mode selector to achieve the best performance.
If the tying operation slows down too much, check the battery charge level.
All maintenance and repair and operations which are not mentioned in this manual must be carried out by an
Authorised Service Point. To ensure a safe tool performance, use original spare parts only.
