- MIN : reading min
Third press on this button: MIN is displayed.
The digital display gives the min value.
The bargraph continues to give the current RMS value with a flashing bar to display the min.
NB :
On the bargraph the flashing min and max bars are displayed at the same time.
- AVG : reading average
Fourth press on this button : AVG is displayed.
The digital display gives the average value.
The bargraph continues to give the current RMS value.
- Return to the current value
Fifth press on this button : AVG disappears.
The digital display gives the current value.
The clamp is still in record mode : RECORD flashes and P is still displayed.
- Stopping recording
A long press (2 seconds approx.) on this button resets the clamp to normal mode: RECORD
and P disappear. The memories are reset to zero.
MAX-PEAK : Recording the peak value
On peak value measurements, current A PEAK or voltage V PEAK, it is possible to access
RECORD mode but only for the MAX value. The access, read and Off procedure is identical
to the RECORD mode.
HOLD-RECORD-PAUSE : Pause recording
- On record mode (RECORD flashing), a press on the HOLD button pauses the recording :
RECORD is steady and PAUSE is displayed, HOLD is also displayed. The recorded digital
values are held. The bargraph continues to give the current RMS value.
- By successively pressing the MIN/MAX button you access reading MAX, MIN, AVG and
the current value held when HOLD was pressed.
NB :
For these 4 readings, the HOLD symbol is steady. Press the MAX/MIN button again
and HOLD flashes : you access the current digital value, recording is still paused.

- Press HOLD again and recording starts again : HOLD disappears. The values previously
recorded are saved.
Vout : analogue output
Place the switch on the main function A AC and connect the lead with BNC/safety banana
plugs to the clamp and to an oscilloscope or a recorder.
This independant analogue output allows you to display the waveform of the current whilst
using the function buttons.
You can thus observe the distortion of a current signal on the oscilloscope and at the same
time measure its PEAK, its THD%, record its min/max,...
- the output ratio is originally configured to 1mV/A
- you can select the ratio 10mV/A with the mini-switch located in the clamp under the
"output terminals" card.
- open the clamp and use a small screwdriver to change the ratio.
- changing the ratio causes a change in the measurement extent (see Electrical
Specifications).
- the change of ratio is not shown on the display.
