MAINTENANCE

CHANGING THE BATTERY
Never open the clamp without first disconnecting it from all external electrical sources.
- The clamp must not enclose any conductor.
- Set the switch to the OFF position.
- Remove the three screws from the lower case and pull off carefully, from the front.
- Replace the used battery with a 9V alkaline battery (type IEC 6LF22 or NEDA 1604)
- Check that the springs are positioned opposite the buzzer.
- Reassemble the case by reversing the procedure. Check carefully that the lugs fit into one
another.

CLEANING

Jaw face : It is necessary to always keep the jaw faces of the clamp clean. To do this, clean
them and lightly oil them to avoid rust. Do not leave the clamp in very damp places, or directly
exposed to water.
Handles and case : Clean with a cloth or a sponge moistened with soapy water, rinse in the
same way without running water on the clamp. Dry with a cloth or pulsed air.
Storage : If the clamp is not used for more than 60 days, remove the battery and store it
separately.
Frequency of recalibration : To enable you to maintain the characteristics of the clamp, we
recommend an annual check or recalibration.
Maintenance : For maintenance, use only spare parts which have been specified. The
manufacturer can not held responsible for any accident occurring after repair other than by
its after sales service or approved repair workshops.
