VOLTAGE INPUT AND ANALOGUE OUTPUT

9 Two safety sockets
These sockets of diameter 4mm and centre to centre gap of 19mm receive the leads in
order to:
- measure the voltage; use the set of leads with prods,
- display the waveform of the current on an oscilloscope or a recorder, on the analogue
output Vout (1mV/A or 10mV/A); use the lead with BNC/banana safety plugs.

SOUND SIGNALS

The clamp is equipped with a buzzer that emits different types of sound signals at three
emission frequencies and for three different durations.

SWITCHING ON : current or voltage measurements
By selecting the main function A AC or V AC with the switch, the clamp switches On ; all the
symbols appear for approx. 0.5 seconds on the display.
Enclose the clamp around the conductor or connect up and read the true rms value of the
current or voltage.
NB : Pressing one of the function buttons, when switching On, makes all the symbols appear
on the display.
This set of symbols remains as long as the button is pressed: the battery can be checked
in this way.

OFF: MANUAL OFF

Resetting to the OFF position switches Off the clamp and the configuration that may have
been programmed is lost.

AUTO OFF

The clamp switches Off automatically after 10 minutes of operation in the following con-
ditions:
- the buttons have not been pressed,
- the switch has not been turned,
- permanent operation is inactive.
The purpose of this function is to economise the power of the battery, if you forget to reset
to the OFF position after taking measurements.
The clamp emits a short beep at average frequency before "going to sleep".
Press any button and the clamp "wakes up" in the previously selected configuration ; the
function of this "wake up" button is thus not taken into account.
The switch also allows you to "wake up" the clamp, but it manages the main functions so if
the switch is turned the previous configuration is lost and in particular the RECORD mode.
