Using the refrigerator
A

Ensure that the objects or goods placed in the cooling device
are suitable for cooling or warming to the selected tempera-
ture.
Ensure that food or liquids in glass containers are not exces-
sively refrigerated. Liquids expand when they freeze and can
therefore destroy glass containers.
Ensure that your cooler is well ventilated so that any heat
created can dissipate. Otherwise proper functioning cannot be
ensured. It is especially important not to cover the air vents.
➤ Place the refrigerator on a firm base.
Ensure that the ventilation slots are at least 10 cm away from the wall so
that the heat that arises during operation can be drawn off.
➤ Plug the 12 Vg-connection cable (fig. 1 2, page 3) into the DC socket
and also into the cigarette lighter or a 12 V socket.
or
➤ Plug the 220–240 V connection cable (fig. 1 3, page 3) into the AC volt-
age socket and connect it to the 220–240 V AC mains supply.
➤ Push the switch (fig. 2 3, page 3) on the control panel to "HOT" or
"COLD" to switch the device on.
✓ The refrigerator starts cooling/heating the interior and the appropriate
LED lights up.
➤ If you wish to switch the refrigerator off: slide the switch (fig. 2 3, page 3)
to the "OFF" position and disconnect it from the mains.

NOTE
If you are not going to use the refrigerator for a long time, leave
the door slightly ajar to prevent unpleasant odours building up.
