6. After contents have cooled, carefully remove the filter basket and discard the used grounds and paper filter or rinse clean the
permanent filter. Rinse the removable filter basket and replace.
7. To make another pot of coffee, repeat Steps 1–6.
8. B e sure to turn your coffeemaker off when the carafe is empty and you are no longer using your coffeemaker. Please unplug
the power cord when not in use.
WaRning: to avoid risk of personal injury or damage to property as a result of overflow, be sure the carafe is squarely
centered under the filter basket during the brewing cycle. brewed coffee and grounds, both in filter basket and carafe,
are very hot. handle with care to avoid scalding. if filter basket overflows, or if filter basket fails to drain into carafe
during brew cycle, do not open or handle basket. unplug coffeemaker and wait for contents to cool before handling.

Our Brewing Pause 'n Serve feature allows you up to 30 seconds to pour a cup of coffee while the coffeemaker is still brewing.
It also prevents any remaining coffee in the filter basket from dripping onto the warming plate once the brew cycle is complete.
WaRning: to prevent injury from hot overflow, replace carafe within 30 seconds if removed during brewing.
if the carafe is not replaced within 30 seconds, the filter basket will fill with water and overflow.

cleaning Your coffeemaker

Your coffeemaker must be cleaned when you begin to notice excessive steaming or the brewing from your water. If the pumping
action stops before all the water has been pumped out of the machine, the appliance requires cleaning.
The frequency of cleaning depends on the hardness of water used. The following table gives a suggested cleaning schedule.

Your coffeemaker may be cleaned by using vinegar.

1. fill the carafe to the 4 cup line with undiluted white household vinegar. Lift the lid and pour the vinegar into the water reservoir
of the coffeemaker.
2. Place a filter into the removable filter basket and close the lid.
3. P lace the empty carafe on the warming plate. Turn the switch to the "on" position. When three cups have flowed through, turn the
coffeemaker to "off. " Let stand for 30 minutes.
4. After 30 minutes, turn coffeemaker to "on" and let all of the vinegar pass through the coffeemaker.
5. Once the brew cycle is complete, discard the vinegar and filter.
6. T o flush out all traces of vinegar, pour a carafe full of clean, fresh water into the coffeemaker, turn the switch to the "on" position.
Allow water to cycle through.
7. Discard water and turn the coffeemaker Off. Repeat Steps 6 and 7.
