3.2 Product description

The pneumatic chain pruner is a tool which is used for cutting and pruning orchards, vineyards, citrus and olive trees and
similar plants. The tool can be operated by two 12V battery kinds: either a lead or a lithium battery, the latter being carried in its
own backpack. The battery capacity (Amps) only determines the working autonomy.
It is fitted with an ergonomic handle (1), a motor housing (17) in light alloy and an 8" bar (14) with ¼" chain (15).
The handle (1) is endowed with an ON/OFF switch (4), an operating lever (5) and an active safety device (6), automatically
engaging itself when the lever (5) is released. An inertial chain brake (12) (only tool model without extension pole) protects the
operator from possible dangerous kickbacks while working. This safety device stops the chain (15) of the bar (14)
immediately. Moreover, there is a connector (7) mounted on the handle (1) which connects the tool to the battery by means of
a power supply cable (11). The cable is either 10 m long, fitted with connecting clamps, for the lead battery, or 1.5 m long for
the lithium battery.

3.2.1. Chain pruner connected to an extension pole
