6 | Cleaning and care

Proper care of your grips will extend their service life and keep them looking
good. Long exposure to sunlight can age the rubber. This means that over time a
little black will rub off onto your hands or gloves. To prevent this problem, clean
the grips regularly with warm, mild soapy water or a motorbike cleaner from the
Louis range and a lint-free, non-scratch cloth.

7 | Troubleshooting

Fault
Grips will not slide onto the
handlebar.
You cannot slide the grip
onto the throttle tube.
The grips can be rotated
on the handlebar or throttle
twistgrip.

8 | Warranty

This product comes with the statutory two-year warranty. The warranty period
begins on the date of purchase. It does not cover normal wear and tear, use for
anything other than the intended purpose, or damage caused by an accident,
tampering or attempted repairs by unauthorised persons or customer service
departments.
Possible causes and remedies
You may have ordered the wrong grip diameter
for your handlebar – Please check the
measurements.
Check that you are using the correct grip: the
right grip has a larger inside diameter than the
left grip.
The throttle tube may be too thick, in which
case you will need to carefully sand it down with
sandpaper so that the grip will fit.
Make sure there are no grease residues between
the handlebar and the rubber grip. Carefully clean
both parts with brake cleaner if necessary. You
may need to use a rubber adhesive to secure the
grips.
