• The cutting depth can be read on the scale 7 at
the upper saw guard. The bevelled edge of the
lever is serving as indicator.
For reasons of safety, the cutting
depth should not be larger than 5 mm
(3/16 in.) of the material thickness to
be cut.
4.6
Adjusting for bevel cuts
For making bevel cuts, the angle can be
set from 0 to 45°. The position of the
inside cutting edge remains unchanged
when the saw blade is swivelled.
• To adjust the saw assembly for bevel cuts, adjust
the machine to its basic setting and slacken off
wing screw 10 (Fig. 2).
• Adjust the assembly to the desired angle marked on
the scale on the segment for tilting.
• Then retighten wing screw 10.
4.7
Adjusting for mitre cuts
• Slacken off the limit stop 21 (Fig. 3) and set the
angle with reference to the scale on the guide
track.
• Then retighten the limit stop.
• Place the machine with the two stop pins on the
underside of the guide track against the work-
piece and make the cut by moving the machine.
• After the cutting operation, slide the saw back to
its initial position.

Plunge cuts

Risk of kick-back with plunge cuts!
Prior to insertion, the machine must
be placed with the back edge of the
base plate against a limit stop which
has been firmly fitted to the work-
piece.
During insertion, hold the machine
tight on the handle and push for-
wards slightly!
• In order to execute plunge cuts, remove the two
stop pins on the underside of the guide track.
• Now, the clamping lever 11 (Fig. 2) is released.
• Move the lever 6 to the position marked "-5" on
scale 7.
• Fully open the retractable saw guard by means of
the integrated lever 14 (Fig. 1), so that the
machine can be placed on the workpiece to be
processed. The saw blade now rotates freely
above the material and can be aligned with the
marking.
• Press down plunge lever 6 (Fig. 2) to lower the
saw blade into the workpiece vertically. Read off
the cutting depth on scale 7. The riving knife /
splitter swings up and away when the blade
enters the workpiece. As soon as the riving knife
is free behind the saw blade during the forward
motion of the machine, the riving knife reverts to
its normal position.
4.9
Sawing to markings
It is very important to observe the
instructions with regard to sawing
contained in the chapter „Safety
instructions"!
When sawing to markings, the right edge of the
guide track serves as a tracing pointer. This also
applies when marking bevel cuts. Please note sec-
tion 4.6.
• To make the cut, place the guide track on the
workpiece, switch on the machine and feed it uni-
formly in the cutting direction.
4.10 Sawing to markings without guide track
When sawing without using a guide
rail, it is imperative to install the par-
allel guide fence. It serves as double
support for a better guidance of the
hand-held circular saw and ensures
your safety.
Upon operation of the latch 20 (Fig. 7), the machine
can be removed to the back from the guide rail.
Before, set the cutting depth of the machine to at
least 30 mm (1 9/50 in.) and remove the connecting
line from the cable fixture.
The base plate is equipped with markings 17 (Fig. 1)
for rip cuts and 45° bevel cuts. These markings cor-
respond to the inside of the saw blade. When mark-
ing bevel cuts, the marking on the workpiece can
also be seen through the opening on the left side of
the upper saw guard (arrow, Fig. 2).
