6.3 Incorrect ECG measuring methods

NEVER take an ECG measurement if:
The right index finger is not
in sufficient contact with
the upper electrode.
The ECG stick is upside
down.

6.4 Evaluating ECG measured values

Once you have taken the measurement, the following results may appear on the LCD display.
ECG recording is OK.
Indicates a decreased heart
rate (bradycardia) of less than
55 [bpm].
Indicates an increased heart
rate (tachycardia) of greater
than 100 [bpm].
A flashing heart rate on the display indicates unstable or weak ECG signals. In this case, please
repeat the measurement.

The measurement is being
taken through clothing.
You are holding the ECG stick
in your left hand.
Indicates one or more pauses in the car-
diac cycle, each of which is longer than
2 seconds.
Indicates a disruption to the rhythm during
the ECG recording.
