4.2.3 Manual Flushing of the Membrane

5 Changing the Active Charcoal Filter
The active charcoal filter must be changed at the latest after 140 operating hours:
 "Filter Change" will be displayed on the display.
 Every time the water is treated, a short acoustic signal is emitted.

6 Malfunctions
DANGER! Danger of life due to components that are
energised!
Do not open any machine covers or machine parts if it requires
tools. There is danger of shock.

Let a Winterhalter service engineer carry out work on the electrical
system. The RoMatik XS must first be disconnected from the
mains.
6.1 Error Display on the control panel
Local water pressure too low
If the local water pressure is too low during water treatment,

the "Alarm P. min" message will be displayed on the control

panel and a short acoustic signal will be emitted.
 The water preparation will be stopped.
 After 1 minute, the RoMatik XS will automatically restart.
If the local water pressure is still too low during water
treatment, the RoMatik XS will attempt to restart at
increasingly longer intervals and a short acoustic signal will
be emitted.
Manual Restart of the RoMatik XS
 Press the on/off key to switch off the RoMatik XS
 Alleviating the causes of errors:
 Completely open the water valve.
 Clean the contamination filter behind the water shut off
valve.

The membranes may be damaged and the waterflow will be reduced if
the active charcoal filter is not changed after 140 hours of operation.
 Set the mode selector to "Bypass", if the dishwasher connected to
the RoMatik XS is to be operated further and there is no active
charcoal filter on hand.
 Switch off the RoMatik XS (Press the on/off key).
Caution
 Make sure that the poorer water quality associated with this is taken
into consideration in the wash result.
 Only use Winterhalter original parts.
 Switch off the dishwasher
 Switch off the RoMatik XS (Press the on/off key)
 Control panel has no display
 Close the outer water shut off valve.
Turn the filter Pull the filter

Leaks
If there is a leaky point within the device, the "Alarm Leakage"

 Close the outer water shut off valve.
 Press the on/off key to switch off the RoMatik XS
 Have the cause of the problem alleviated by a Winterhalter
authorized Service Technician
As soon as the error is fixed:
 Press the on/off key to switch on the RoMatik XS
Conductivity too high
If the RoMatik XS no longer reaches the prescribed water quality

under normal operation, "High Cond." will appear on the display.

signal emitted.
 Call a Winterhalter authorized service technician to replace the
membranes.
6.2 Malfunctions
