•
The maximum approved body weight is specified in the technical data (see Page 16).
5.2.2 Bench Alignment
INFORMATION
Only use the prosthetic foot with the heel wedge.
INFORMATION
For determining the overall system height of all prosthetic components for bench alignment,
►
add 5-10 mm to the socket-floor measurement to compensate for the spring effect of the
prosthetic foot. Use the larger value when the patient's weight is at the upper limit of the
maximum permissible patient weight.
TT bench alignment
Recommended materials: 662M4 goniometer, 743S12 heel height measuring apparatus,
743A80 50:50 gauge, alignment apparatus (e.g. 743L200 L.A.S.A.R. Assembly or 743A200
PROS.A. Assembly)
Perform the assembly and alignment of the prosthetic components in the alignment apparatus
according to the following specifications:
Sagittal plane
Heel height: effective heel height (shoe heel height - sole thickness of forefoot)
+10 mm
Exterior foot rotation: approx. 5°
Sagittal alignment: alignment reference line on a–p markings of the prosthetic
foot (see fig. 1)
Connect the prosthetic foot and prosthetic socket using the chosen adapters.
Observe the adapter instructions for use during adaptation and installation.
Determine the centre of the prosthetic socket with the 50:50 gauge.
Align the prosthetic socket centrally to the alignment reference line.
Socket flexion: individual residual limb flexion +5°
Frontal plane
Prosthetic foot alignment reference line: set exterior rotation according to the
patient's requirements
Alignment reference line of prosthetic socket: along the lateral patella edge
Observe the individual abduction or adduction position of the residual limb.
TF bench alignment
► Observe the information in the prosthetic knee joint instructions for use.
5.2.3 Static Alignment
•
Ottobock recommends checking the alignment of the prosthesis using the L.A.S.A.R. Posture
and adapting it as needed.
If necessary, the alignment recommendations (TF modular leg prostheses: 646F219*, TT
•
modular leg prostheses: 646F336*) may be requested from Ottobock.
5.2.4 Dynamic Trial Fitting
•
Adapt the alignment of the prosthesis in the frontal plane and the sagittal plane (e.g. by mak
ing angle or slide adjustments) to ensure an optimum gait pattern.
