Removing the cover and belts
- Open the child safety seat buckle [N.16] by pressing on the red release
button [N.15] and loosen the shoulder belts (see 5.2).
- Press on the button at the rear of the seat shell [V.13] and tip the belt height
adjuster [V.14] forward. Remove the belt loops [V.23] from the belt height
adjuster [V.14].
- Detach the shoulder belts [W.11] from the connnecting plate [W.24] at the
back of the seat shell.
Note
Check the connnecting plate is suspended [W.24]. It must not rub
behind the seat shell on the lower part of the seat (e. g. when pulling
on the tension belt).
- Pull out the shoulder belts forwards together with the shoulder padding.
- Remove the shoulder pads [L.12] from the shoulder belts [L.11].
- Remove the frame cover [N.25] from the seat shell.
- Loosen the elasticated edge of the cover from the six attachment points on
the backrest shell [X]. The attachment points are at head height (left and
right, two on each side) and at the front of the seat (left and right, one on
each side).
- Pull the elasticated edge of the cover over the edge of the seat shell.
- Thread the tension belt [N.20], crotch belt with buckle [N.16] and crotch
piece [N.19] out of the cover.
- Thread the shoulder belts with the locking pieces out of the cover.
- Remove the headrest cover [N.26].
- Pull the cover of the child safety seat upwards and place it over the headrest
[N.26] together with the recess.
- Pull out the clips [Y.27], that secures the belt [Y.28] on the seat shell out a
little.
- Push the belt loop on the shorter side of the clips back and remove the belt
loops [Y].
- Push the clip from the belt loop [Y].
- Remove the belt from the belt guide of the seat shell and the cover.

Refitting the belt and putting the cover back on
CAUTION!
The incorrect fitting of the belt system can endanger the health, or put
at risk, the lives, of all occupants of the vehicle. For this reason, carry
out the steps described for your child's safety and that of the other
occupants of the vehicle carefully.
Ensure you do not twist the belts or swap them over when you fit
them. The belts must be arranged with the left and right locking pieces
as shown in fig. O.
- Bring the two locking pieces [N.17] of the belts together and insert them in
the buckle [N.16].
- Thread the belt loop from outside inwards under the stay on the seat shell,
as shown in the illustration Y.
- Hook the clips into the belt loops by threading [Y] the loops first behind the
long lugs and then behind the short lugs of the clips.
- Pull the betls tight until the clips [Y.27] are positioned straight in the inner
recesses of the seat shell.
- Open the child safety seat buckle [N.16] by pressing on the red release
button [N.15].
- Push the cover of the child safety seat from above over the headrest [N.26]
together with the recess.
- Thread the shoulder belts with the locking pieces into of the cover.
- Push the foam pads [N.29] between the cover and the seat shell.
- Thread the tension belt [N.20], crotch belt with buckle [N.16] and crotch
piece [N.19] into the cover.
- Pull the elasticated edge of the cover over the edge of the seat shell and
secure the cover on the six attachment points.
- Press the frame cover [N.25] tight to the seat shell.
- Refit the headrest cover [N.26]. In doing so, care must be taken that the
foam support [N.30] has been inserted.
- Push the shoulder pads [L.12] onto the shoulder belts [L.11].
