USING THE CHARGER FOR THE FIRST TIME
Connect the crocodile clips to a 12 V lead-acid battery or a suitable mains PSU. Take
great care over correct polarity (red = positive / black = negative).
You can now select the language to be used for the menus when the charger is in use.
Press the '+' or '-' button repeatedly to call up the available languages, which are as fol-
lows:
• German (DEUTSCH)
• French (FRANCAIS)
• Italian (ITALIANO)
• Spanish (ESPANIOL)
• English (ENGLISH)
Press the 'ENTER' button to conclude the process; the Start display shown above now
appears.

WORKING DISPLAY
During a charge or discharge process this display keeps the user informed of all the
essential data. The top line shows the status indicator, i.e. the type of process ('C' for
charge, or 'D' for discharge); the charged-in or discharged capacity is also shown, toget-
her with the time elapsed since the start. The bottom line displays the battery type ('NC'
for Nickel-Cadmium batteries, 'NM' for Nickel-Metal-Hydride batteries, 'LP' for Lithium-

The screen initially displays the device name and
the software version number for a few moments,
then the Start display appears.
