Measured value queries are structured according to a uniform data format:

The response frame of a measured value query always has the same structure:
-

-
The exponent byte has the following coding:
0B
OV
OV = Overflow or invalid
UV = Underflow
Example:
MSB = 0, LSB = 100, EXP = 3
Value = 100,000 or 100 k
The '0x36 - Get total ex' command is used to query the total energy generated in Wh

resolution. Depending on the selection, the supplied measured values are returned in
value queries Get
Wh in 64 bits or in 32 bits for a kWh meter as well as in 16 bits for a Wh meter. All
total ex
values are returned in the Big Endian format. The desired data format in which the reply
should be returned must be selected in the 'Answer Format ID' field.
Select the desired display for measured values:
-
-
The data structure remains the same, with the exception of the 'Length' field.
The measured value is displayed in the data field using 3 bytes: 2 bytes for the
value itself and 1 byte for an exponent.
The measured value is always an integer data type ('signed' or 'unsigned', according
to the table)
The exponent is a 'signed' character data type in the range -3 to +10.
The actual measured value is obtained by multiplying the value by 10 to the power
of the exponent (measured value = value x 10
Units for measured values are as shown in the table or settings on sensor card or
sensor box; the unit for a measured value is not transferred.

First the high-order data byte is transmitted (MSB)
Then the low-order data byte is transmitted (LSB)
Finally, an exponent byte is transmitted (EXP)
