Deformation when folded
Damage to the product, problems unfolding due to unallowable loads
► Never place heavy objects on the folded product.
1) Remove the following accessory components from the rehab buggy:
Buggy board (see Page 57), canopy (see Page 58), grab rail (see Page 59), head support (see Page 60), pad
ding (see Page 61), rain cape (see Page 63), slip sack (see Page 62), groin strap (see Page 63) and lateral
guides (see Page 64).
If padding is being used, the head support, the shoulder harnesses of the five-point belt and the groin strap
may remain attached to the padding when removing it.
2) Turn the twistlock on the foot support a quarter of a turn so that the bolt disengages from the foot support (see
fig. 8).
3) Fold the foot support up and away to the side along with the fixed foot support bar.
4) Fold the remaining foot support bar away to the side.
5) If present: Fold up the arm supports (see Page 65).
6) Release the wheel lock (see Page 50).
7) Move the back support to an upright position and pull the lock open (see Page 49).
8) Pull the folding lever on the back support (ball grip) upwards (see fig. 5).
9) Move the folding lever on the seat surface (ball grip) up in a semi-circular motion and fold the rehab buggy (see
fig. 4).
10) Set down the rehab buggy and engage the transport safety device (see fig. 2).
6.6 Use in vehicles for transporting persons with reduced mobility

Serious injuries in case of accidents due to user error
► Always use the seats and personal restraint systems in the vehicle for transporting persons with reduced
mobility first. This is the only way to ensure optimum protection of passengers in the event of an accident.
► If the product is to be used as a seat in a vehicle for transporting persons with reduced mobility, the safety
elements offered by the manufacturer and appropriate personal restraint systems must be used. For more
information, please refer to our brochure with the order number 646D158.
► Please observe the operating limitations associated with the installed options (see Page 69).
WARNING
Use of the belt system as a passenger restraint system in vehicles for transporting persons with reduced
mobility is forbidden
Serious injuries due to improper handling of the product
► Under no circumstances may the belts and positioning aids offered with the product be used as part of a pas
senger restraint system in vehicles for transporting persons with reduced mobility.
► Note that the belts and positioning aids offered with the product are only intended to help support the user sit
ting in the product.
WARNING
Prohibited transportation of the passenger with activated back angle adjustment
Loss of safe restraint in the product due to user error
► Ensure the passenger is seated in a nearly upright position during transport.
► If a back angle adjustment mechanism is installed, move the backrest to a nearly upright position prior to
travel.
► Check the locking mechanism on both sides.
