Disassembly
Disassembly and re-assembly should be done according to the sectional drawing only. Observe
the safety instructions of the operation and maintenance manual.
Disassembly of hose plate
Loosen hexagonal nuts item 4 and remove hexagonal screw item 3. Then pull hose plate item 1
out of the intake housing item 2 and discharge housing item 6.
Disassembly of impeller, assy.
Loosen hexagonal nuts item 12 and remove hexagonal screw item 11.
Then remove the intake housing item 2 from the discharge housing item 6.
The impeller, assy., item 24 is still on the shaft item 18.
Now loosen the hexagonal screw item 25 and remove the upstream hood item 27.
Loosen the socket head screws item 29 and pull the impeller, assy. Item 24, with a pull-off device
from the shaft item 18. Check the impeller item 24 with regards to damages.
Disassembly of bearing
Disassemble the hose plates item 1 and the impeller, assy., item 24.
Additionally loosen the hexagonal screws item 30 and remove the downstream hood item 32.
Loosen hexagonal screws item 23 and take bearing cover item 21 from the discharge housing
item 6.
Then loosen the hexagonal screws item 15 and remove the cover item 16.
The bearings item 17 and 20, the shaft item 18 and the spacer pipe item 19 are still on the
discharge housing item 6 and should be knocked out with an appropriate tool (e. g. a rubber
hammer).
Check bearings:
Bearing clearance too large?
Emerged lubricant on the bearing?
Unusual noise?
Re-assembly
The re-assembly is basically done in the reverse order than the disassembly. Wear parts, e. g.
bearings item 17 and 20, should be checked and replaced, if defective.
After re-assembly the function and performance of the pneumatic axial fan have to be checked.
For this refer to the technical specification in the assembly, operation and maintenance manual.
Gap distance
The minimum distance between the rotating assembly parts, e. g. the impeller, assy., item 24 and
the static assembly parts, e. g. the fan housing item 2 and 6, has to be at least 1% of the relevant
contact diameter of the complete assembly unit.
Spare Parts
Only genuine the manufacturer spare parts may be used. There is no warranty for damages and
liability is disclaimed by the manufacturer, if non-original spare parts and accessories are used.
