Troubleshooting
• In case of failure one must check:
- that the voltage is ON,
- the fuel supply (valve pressure and
opening),
- the control elements,
- the switch position on the control
board.
If the failure persists:
• Read the luminous signals delivered
by the control and safety unit and their
meaning on the table below.
Defect
The heater thermostat doesn't close
(within 400s)
The burner does not start after closing
of the thermostatic circuit.
The control and safety unit does not
indicate any defect.
The burner starts when the voltage is
applied and functions during a short
period of time, then it stops and delivers
this signal:
-
The burner was running under stead-
state conditions.
The burner does not start after the
thermostatic closing and delivers this
signal:
The burner becomes defective at the
end of the safety time and delivers this
signal:
Special appliances are available which
can be adapted on SH 113 units to make
it possible to understand any other
pieces of information provided by the
control and safety unit.
All the safety components must not be
repaired but only replaced by identical
components.
Use only the manufacturer's
original parts.
Causes
Faulty heater thermostat.
Faulty heater.
Supply voltage drop or absence.
Unit defective.
The control and safety unit has been
switched off purposely.
Flame extinguishing in service.
Stray light during preventilation and
prefiring
No flame at the end of the safety time
delay.

Remarks:
After work has been carried out one
must:
• Check the combustion under
operating conditions (doors closed,
cover in position, etc.) and the circuit
tightness.
• Record the results on the relevant
documents.
Remedies
Change the heated nozzle line.
Check the origin of the voltage drop or
absence.
Replace the unit.
Reset the unit.
Clean the flame detector and replace it.
Adjust the combustion.
Replace the unit.
Clean the solenoid valve, replace it or
the pump whenever the solenoid valve
is inbuilt with the pump.
Check the fuel oil level in the tank.
Fill the tank as need be.
Open the valves.
Check the pressure and adjust it in case
of stuffing.
Check the pump operation and
pressure, its coupling, its filter and its
solenoid valve.
Check the firing circuit, the electrodes
and their setting.
Clean the electrodes.
Replace the electrodes,
the ignition cables,
the transformer
and the nozzle as need be.
