Usage
– Introduce the Cavifil into the respective recess of the
injector from below and press until it snaps into place
(Fig. 1).
– The Cavifil is now secured in the Injector, but it may still
be rotated 360° if required.
– Activate the lever uniformly to extrude the material
(Fig. 2).
– Excessively fast extrusion of the contents from the
Cavifil, or the exertion of extremely high force during
application, respectively, should be avoided.
– After applying the material, remove the Cavifil by
pressing it downwards.
– Disinfect and sterilize the Injector prior to each use.
The Cavifils are designed for use as single-dose units.
The direct application of the material into the cavity ren-
ders transferring the material from syringe to spatula and
subsequently to the cavity unnecessary. The Cavifil Injector
allows cavities to be filled economically, so that there is no
excess material to discard. The Cavifil Injector System helps
to place restorations in a time- and material-saving man-
ner.
Notes
– Apply the material at normal room temperature.
Material taken from the refrigerator may be difficult to
extrude.
–
If the material is applied from the Cavifil directly
into the oral cavity of the patient, the Cavifil must
not be used for more than one patient due to hygienic
reasons (prevention of cross-contamination between
patients).
– The Cavifil Injector can be disinfected by wiping it with
a commercially available disinfectant.
– Alternatively, the Cavifil Injector can be disinfected by
immersing it in a commercially available alcohol- and/or
surfactant-based liquid disinfectant according to the
manufacturer's directions. Oxidizing disinfection agents
are unsuitable.
– Thermal disinfection and dry disinfection are not
admissible.
– The Cavifil Injector can be autoclaved at 134 °C / 275 °F.
– The Cavifil Injector should be checked for damage
regularly and replaced if required.
– The Cavifil Injector is optimally coordinated with the
requirements of Ivoclar Vivadent Cavifils. However, it
can also be used in conjunction with other suitable
unit-dose cartridge systems.
Keep the material out of the reach of children.
For use in dentistry only.
