Connect the DVD drive
!
Do not use the DVD drive in a dusty environment.

The DVD drive does not have an ON / OFF switch.
The power supply occurs using the Y-cable to the
connected power pack.
1.
Switch off the KTS 670!
2.
Connect the power pack to the KTS 670 and the DVD
drive with the enclosed Y-connecting piece. The
plug socket is located on the terminal strip on the
KTS 670 (Fig. 2, Item 11).
The plug socket on the DVD drive is located on the
back of the device. Do not connect the power pack
to the mains yet!
3.
Connect the KTS 670 to the DVD drive. Use the USB
connecting cable enclosed with the DVD drive.
4.
Connect the connecting cable to the plug socket on
the back of the DVD drive.
5.
Connect the power pack to the mains.
Switch on the KTS 670.

After successfully connecting the external DVD drive,
please read the notes in Sections 5.6.2 and 5.6.3, befo-
re installing the software.
Select the Bosch application selection "Software
Installation" in the start screen and follow the
instructions.

Correct handling of DVD-ROMs
¶
Only insert the DVD-ROM in the DVD drive if you
have clean hands that are free of grease!
¶
Do not touch the unlabelled side of the DVD.
¶
Do not write on the DVD and do not place any
stickers on it.
¶
Never use solvents, such as benzine or paint thinner,
record cleaner or antistatic compounds, to clean a
dirty DVD.
¶
Wipe off any fingerprints or dust carefully with a soft
cloth, working from the center to the outside edge.
¶
The DVD is unable to withstand high temperatures or
direct sunlight.

DVD eject" button on the DVD drive to

Insert/remove the DVD into/from the drawer
carefully with the printed side uppermost.

Press the
"DVD eject" button to make the drawer go
in again.

Regularly clean the DVD drive with a cleaning disk
for a CD-ROM or DVD drive (see also Chapter 6.1.3)
