PS/2 keyboard
To connect, insert the connector from the PS/2
keyboard into the appropriate plug socket on the
terminal strip of the KTS 670 (Fig. 3, Item 12).

When using a PS/2 keyboard, you must select
the appropriate country-specific keyboard during
start-up in the start screen "Diagnostics Software
Selection" under "System Control » Configuration »
Settings".

When using the equipment with the PS/2 keyboard,
it must be ensured that the "Num" pilot lamp is
alight, as otherwise no figures can be entered with
the number keys. The Table below will explain the
most important functions of the keyboard to you.

Connection for external monitor
Connect the monitor/VGA connecting cable (special
accessories) to the terminal strip of the KTS 670 at
the appropriate plug socket (Fig. 2, Item 10). Connect
the other end of the connecting cable to the monitor.
After connecting the external monitor, the same user
interface appears as on the LCD display of the KTS 670.
Both displays are active.

The monitor must be plugged in before switching on
the KTS 670.

You can connect a printer (e.g. PDR 370) via the USB
interface of the KTS 670.

Select the default printer
Change the default printer PDR 370 using the
"Diagnostics Software Selection". Start the program
"System Control". Under Configuration, select the
menu "Settings » Printer". Select the desired printer
driver and apply with V.

Printing (control unit diagnostics)
Click twice with the stylus on the key psc (print screen)
on the virtual keyboard. The print menu in the control
unit diagnostics program opens up.

Furthermore, there is the option of previewing a page
(on screen display of the working protocol).
All the displayed images can be printed out by selecting
"Hardcopy".

If error memory statements, actual values etc. are to
be printed out later in the working protocol, these
values must be saved in the displayed window with
the softkey S.

drive (special accessories). Please follow the enclosed
instructions.
