1.1 DESCRIPTION OF THE DEVICE AND ITS SPECIFIC MODELS.
The lighting top extension is designed to enhance the hygiene and aesthetics of the drinks and
products displayed.
When located under its halogen heating lights, the dishes may be displayed and kept warm by
the heating top extension.
Its structure comprises one body (Figure 2, 'R') and two legs, which can be screwed to the
worktop. (Figure 2, 'P'). The structure of a regular top extension has two legs. Equipped with special
holders, the extensions make it possible to install an upper pane (Figure 1).
Depending on the model, the size of the device may vary, corresponding to the number of the
containers over which it is mounted: DLU-211 – 2 GN 1/1containers; 311 – 3 GN 1/1 containers; 411 –
4 GN 1/1 containers; 511 – 5 GN1/1 containers; DHU-211 – 2 GN 1/1 containers; 311 – 3 GN 1/1
containers, 411 – 4 GN 1/1 containers; 511 – 5 GN 1/1 containers. On the right-hand side of the body
is a power switch (Fig. 2, 'C').
The lighting top extension is equipped with a fluorescent tube of an appropriate length, while
the heating top extension has a halogen lamp emitting a lot of heat.
1.2 IMPORTANT SAFETY GUIDELINES.
The top extensions are powered by electricity, and may be operated only by personnel trained
in the use of professional gastronomic equipment.
Only personnel skilled in the servicing of professional gastronomic equipment may maintain
the top extensions.
While using the top extension, you must strictly follow the safety instructions below:
 before starting a cleaning procedure, make sure that the power switch is set to 0, and the
whole device is disconnected from the electricity supply;
 communicate the principles of safe operation to the personnel;
 in case of a fault, disconnect the device form power supply and contact service personnel;
 the device may be repaired only by an authorised person;
 the device may be connected to power supply only after the fault is removed.
The following is strictly forbidden:
 cleaning and repairing when the extension is on;
 replacing filaments without protective clothing (touching filaments with fingers shortens their
lifetime);
