INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Automatic door closure
The SCREEN fireplace door is equipped with a return spring (the spring
may be supplied separately and require assembly, as described below)
which allows for it to close without requiring the user's intervention; this
is to avoid potentially dangerous fire hazards caused by the user forget-
ting to close the door, for various possible reasons.
Always use the supplied glove to hold the door open when loading
wood into the fire.
Installing the closure spring
The spring can be installed both with the door hinged on the right as
well as with the door hinged on the left.
ALWAYS contact qualified personnel for the proper installation of the
return spring. Incorrect installation can compromise the door's proper
air-tight closure as well as pose a risk to the user.
1) Insert the spring (M) into the vertical profile of the door, on the side of
the hinges, from the bottom upwards; ensuring that the short part of the
"L-shaped" spring is parallel to the horizontal profile of the door (Fig. 1).
2) Remove the second screw from the profile, from the bottom part, on
the side of the hinges, to allow this to open momentarily from the other
end (Fig. 2).
3) Close the door and open it in the opposite direction.
4) At this point, close the door once again ensuring that the short part
of the spring enters the hole found on the front part of the hearth – if
necessary, force it.
5) Open the door in the opposite direction (the desired direction when
the fireplace is used) and retighten the safety screw that was removed
earlier on (Fig. 3).
6) At this point, the spring will be installed correctly and the door will
respond automatically.
Adjusting the closure of the hearth door
1) Open the hearth door by turning the handle (or spanner no. 13)
2) Loosen the grub screw M6 ( ) from the lower support of the door on
the side of the hinge (Fig. 4).
3) Turn the eccentric pin clockwise or anti-clockwise to adjust the closu-
re of the door (Fig. 5).
4) Tighten the grub screw M6 ( ) of the lower support of the door on
the side of the hinge to block the eccentric pin in place (Fig. 4).
