4. About This Product
Product description
The MSV8 2/2 and 3/2 micro solenoid valves are used to
directly control fluids including neutral gas and neutral
liquids or as a pilot valve for pneumatic actuators. The
MSV8 series is electrically operated.

5. Assembly
The product is a component. Observe the documenta-
tion for the overall system during disassembly and as-
sembly!
CAUTION
Danger of injury if assembled under pressure or
voltage!
Assembling when under pressure or voltage can lead to
injuries and damage to the product or system compo-
nents. Danger of injury from electric shocks and sud-
den pressure drops.
 Make sure that the relevant system part is not
under voltage or pressure before you assemble/
disassemble the product.
 Ensure that the system cannot be switched on.

Installation requirements
The MSV8 micro solenoid valve can be assembled as fol-
lows:
 A s a plug-in valve cartridge using a suitable plug-in
mounting hole shown in Fig.
 I n a single manifold block as can be seen in Fig.
For the dimensions and pneumatic functions of the
MSV8 micro solenoid valve, please see Fig.
Assembling the valve
Proceed as follows during installation:
1. Make sure that the system is not under voltage or
pressure.
2. Carefully guide the MSV8 valve into a plug-in
mounting hole or into a single manifold block
( 7).
Do not use any oil or lubricant for assembly
of the valve because this can lead to heavier
leakage than stated in the online catalog
(Emerson.com/ASCO).
3. Position the retaining clip (
groove ( 4) and fasten with a M2x3 screw (
Tightening torques for M2x3 screws: 0.75 ± 0.25 Nm

 Comply with national regulations regarding disposal.

7. Maintenance and Troubleshooting

The product is maintenance free.
If you cannot remedy a malfunction, please contact one
