6 Preparation for use
INFORMATION
The procedures described in this section may only be carried out by appropriately trained
qualified personnel.
These instructions for use must be given to the user along with the product.
INFORMATION
The seat cushion must be set up by qualified personnel before delivery.
Before handing over to the user or attendant, perform sufficient seat tests under medical
supervision. Have the seat cushion tested by the user as needed.
6.1 Setting Up
1) Insert the Floam cells (see fig. 1, items 2, 4, 5, 6) as needed into the compartments in the
upper section of the inner cover (see fig. 6, see fig. 2, item 1).
2) Insert the foam base (see fig. 1, item 3) on the bottom of the inner cover (see fig. 5).
3) Insert the lateral inserts (see fig. 1, item 1) into the lateral compartments of the inner cover
next to the lateral Floam cells (see fig. 4).
4) Pull on the outer cover (see Page 20).
5) Position the seat cushion in the wheelchair (see Page 19).
6) Lower the user down carefully on to the seat cushion and carry out a trial seat fitting.
INFORMATION: Make sure the seat cushion is centred under the user and the user is
comfortable in the desired sitting position.
7) If applicable, adapt the arrangement of the round Floam cells (see fig. 1, items 4, 5, 6) to the
needs of the user.
INFORMATION: Make a sketch or take a photograph of the arrangement of the Floam
cells. Provide this to the user or attendant. This allows the user or attendant to put the
cells back in the intended arrangement themselves after cleaning the seat cushion.

of the product.
Please contact your authorised dealer.

INFORMATION
Place the seat cushion in the middle of the seat so that there is sufficient space on all sides
for the wheels and frame.
Optimum pressure redistribution is ensured when the leg support of the wheelchair is adjus
ted so that the thigh of the user completely rests on the seat cushion.
Regularly remove dust and dirt particles from the hook-and-loop strap at the bottom so that
the seat cushion remains firmly in place.
Correct positioning of the seat cushion in the wheelchair must be maintained for daily use:
