4. Intended use
The microprocessor controlled overhead stirrers R18 and R50 resp. R50 D are designed for
qualified use in laboratories. They are mainly used to stir liquids from aqueous to medium
viscosity. For correct use the instrument must be fixed to an appropriate stand.
To ensure maximum service life, observe the specified ambient conditions (temperature and
humidity) and ensure that the instrument is not exposed to a corrosive atmosphere.
5. Mounting and setup
5.1 Mounting of the support rod
Fasten the support rod (A) by screwing the two M5 screws (B) into the provided

threaded holes at the rear side of the panel.
Tighten the screws thoroughly using a suitable hexagon key.

5.2 Mounting the stirrer on a stand
Fasten the bosshead on the rod of the stand (C) at one end.

Insert the support rod at the other end of the bosshead (D)
●
Tighten the thumbscrew (E) until the support rod is securely fastened
