2. USER'S GUIDE
ALL LOCAL NATIONAL AND EUROPEAN STANDARDS MUST BE COMPLIED WITH WHEN
INSTALLING THE APPLIANCE.
Warning: When operating, do not touch the appliance without a protected gloved hand.
2.1. Using the appliance for the first time. For early on, and for a reasonable time, the fuel
load should not exceed 50% C.M.A. (Maximum fuel load authorised by the manufacturer).
2.2. Operating the appliance.
2.2.1. Single slide control
to right activates the primary slider, sliding it from us activates the secondary slider. To obtain
the maximum efficiency, set
Primary air slider to 30% open
2.2.2. Gas exit slider. It is located in connector pipe tube where the tube pipe and fireplace
join. The position of the vertical handle indicates that is open, the position of the horizontal
handle indicates that is closed. To obtain the output and efficiency as stated in the table of
Technical data, move the gas exit slider to 0%.
ATTENTION:
The positions indicated are according to technical characteristics table, in any case
these positions must be adapt according to the flue depression and fuel quality.
2.3. Safety distances. Combustible or fragile materials (include furniture etc.), must be at least
1000 mm from any part of appliance. It is prohibited to use the space under the ash pan to store
fuel.
2.4. Type of combustion. This fireplace is designed for intermittent use with the doors closed;
the doors should only be opened when loaded fuel.
2.5. Recommended fuel by the manufacturer. Do not use the appliance as incinerator, and
only use fuels approved by the manufacturer. Use natural logs that have a moisture content
between 12 and 20 %. It is highly recommended to dry newly cut wood for 2 years. Their
maximum length might not be longer than 400 mm. The use of other types of fuel is forbidden,
as well as any liquid (used to light barbecue fires).
2.6. Loading and reload fuel. You must take into account the maximum authorized load of
fuel, ensuring that when the refuelling it does not exceed 200 mm in height. A log guard is
provided.
Do not allow the fuel above the log guard. Take care the fuel does not exceed either in quantity
or size, the data specified above (see table of technical characteristics).
To light the fire follow these steps: place the fuel on central on the central area of the fireplace
base and open the register primary and secondary maximum and then light the fire.
(USE ONLY FOR THE ELEMENTS TO). Once this fire is lit, control its intensity through the air
controls to achieve the desired combustion
the refuelling section taking into account the specified data above.
Warning: Because refuelling is necessary to open the gas exit slider before opening the
door.
2.7. Mechanism blockage. It is obligatory to check all working parts, especially those that
could jam after long periods of inactivity: door handle, air controls, flue connections all operate
correctly. Ensure the exterior ventilation cannot be blocked.
2.8. Cleaning and maintenance.
2.8.1. Glass cleaning. Let the fire burn out completely before cleaning. Do not allow cleaning
product to make contact with the appliance surface or the rope seal as it will cause them to
corrode.
2.8.2. Ash pan cleaning. Before removing the ash pan, allow the fire to go out completely,
taking care that the ashes do not contain hot embers; always place the ashes in a metallic
bin.
