6.1 – SETTING THE CONTROL UNIT FOR OPERATION ON
"LEAF 2" OR TO AUTOMATE A SINGLE-LEAF GATE
The control unit is factory set with the electric jumper "Sel" set in the posi-
tion shown in fig. A.

This configuration enables installation of the gearmotor with control unit
exclusively on a 2-leaf gate and more specifically on Leaf 1 of these gates
(Note – For the definition of "Leaf 1" and "Leaf 2" refer to STEP 4).
The electric jumper "Sel" must be moved to the new position shown
in fig. B, only in the following cases:
– If forced to install the gearmotor with control unit on leaf 2 of a 2-leaf
gate (for example to exploit the power source in the vicinity of this leaf) .
– If the gate to be automated is a single–leaf version.

6.2 – INSTALLING AND CONNECTING
THE GEARMOTOR WITHOUT CONTROL UNIT
If the system envisages the use of two gearmotors, connect the gearmo-
tor without control unit to the version with control unit as follows:
01. Remove the cover from the gearmotor, loosening the two lateral
screws with a screwdriver.
02. Fig. 23:
Loosen the cable clamp and insert the connection cable through the
hole.

03. Fig. 24:
Connect the cable wires to the terminal board, with reference to the
symbols present. Then tighten the cable clamp to secure the cable
to the gearmotor.

On the gearmotor with control unit, loosen the cable clamp at the
centre and pass the connection cable of the flashing light through the
hole.
