J. BACKREST
Height adjustable backrest (Fig. 18)
The backrest height can be adjusted to 5 different positions (38 – 48 cm, 15" –19").
Remove the bolt (A) and move the back tube into the desired position. Replace and tighten
bolt to appropriate torque setting. (See section XII. TORQUE).
Angle-Adjustable Back Posts– if so equipped
The backrest can be adjusted to several different angles. A nut is located on the backtube,
allowing you to set the angle (See section XII. TORQUE).
Angle adjustment of the back post will require adjustment of the armrest "hook" support.
For your own safety, we recommend that adjustments only be made by authorized dealers.
Anti-tip tubes should be used in conjunction with angle-adjustable back posts.
Reclining Backrest– if so equipped
Your chair may be equipped with a reclining backrest. An attendant may adjust the angle of
the backrest by engaging and releasing the levers.
Reclining backrest should be used in conjunction with anti-tip tubes.
Tension Adjustable Backrest Upholstery– if so equipped
The sling can be adapted to a desired degree of tension by adjusting the Velcro fasteners.
K. ARMREST
Standard armrest, Flip-Up, Detachable with Desk or Full Armrests (Fig. 19)
To flip the armrest up, push the lever (B) to unlock and lift. Armrest will stand up behind

backrest.

The height of the armpad can be set in an alternate position by reconfiguring the spacers.
To do so, you must first loosen the screws accessed through bottom of arm body, reconfig-
ure the spacers and then retighten the screws. (See section XII. TORQUE).
Neither the armrests nor the armpads are to be used for lifting or carrying the
wheelchair.
Height adjustable armrest, Flip-Up, Detachable with Desk or Full Armrests (Fig. 19)
To flip the armrest up, press the lever (B) to unlock and lift.
Adjust the height of the armrest as follows:
Press the button found on the underside of the armpad and move the armpad into the
desired position. Release the button and push the armpad down until you can hear it click
into place. Always make sure that the armrests have locked into place properly.
Neither the armrest nor the armpads are to be used for lifting or carrying the
wheelchair.
L. SEAT BELT
The seat belt is a hip belt that enhances wheelchair safety and proper positioning. The seat
belt is fastened to the frame as shown in the picture.
NOTE–
If an after-market belt is to be used, convenient attachment points may be purchased. Contact
Sunrise Medical Customer Service and ask for "Positioning Belt Slide Clamps".
