The PROFIBUS DMT is based on the complete function range of
the standard DMT but with added PPROFIBUS
The user can enable PROFIBUS
"Bus ON" operating mode from the operating menu.
In the "Bus ON" operating mode the DMT sends the relevant
information to a master (PLC, PC) via its gateway and the
®
PPROFIBUS .
Set-up
®
The PPROFIBUS -DMT settings are carried out in the "Bus OFF"
operating mode (see below) as with the standard DMT. Only the bus
functions are added. The user can alter only the operating mode in
the "Bus ON" operating mode (see below).
NOTICE
If you pause for longer than 60 sec. when carrying out a
setting, the settings procedure is cancelled.

When the user has set measured variable limits, DMT values which
exceed limit values trigger an error signal to the PROFIBUS
set limit values are also the measured variable values at which the
4 mA and/or 20 mA output current is accepted (see "Parameter
output" input menu).
