6. PLUGGING THE BAND SAW IN
CAUTION
ELECTROCUTION HAZARD IF THE ELECTRIC
CONNECTION HAS NOT BEEN PROPERLY
GROUNDED.
In the event of a defect or a breakdown in the band
saw, electric shocks may cause serious personal injury
to the user if the electric connection has not been
properly grounded.
Before starting up the band saw, ensure that the plug
cable has not been damaged or deteriorated.
If the cable is damaged or deteriorated, replace it
immediately. Under NO circumstances should you
connect this cable.
Always use cables that are fitted with a protective
conductor or a safety grounding connection. Use
"Schuko" type plugs or lacking these, always use
plugs that include grounding protection for the
cable (figures 5 and 6).
In any of the following cases, please directly
contact the technical service or a qualified electrical
engineer:
• If you do not fully understand the instructions
on how the machine should be plugged in.
• If the plug provided does not fit the electricity
mains outlet.
• If you have any doubts with regards to whether
the band saw is properly grounded.
• If the cable or the plug need to be repaired or
replaced.
