8. USING THE PORTABLE BAND SAW

BAND SAW WITH VERY SHARP BLADE AND
UNDER VOLTAGE.
In the event of negligent use of the band saw, the
cutting blade or the voltage could cause serious
personal injury from cuts and electrocution and the
band saw could break down.
Before proceeding, please ensure that the band saw
is disconnected from the electricity mains.
Use protective elements such as gloves, protective
eyewear and clothing and appropriate footwear.
Bear in mind the instructions for correct portable
use.
To use the band saw in portable mode, proceed as
follows:
8.1 BLOCKING THE VERTICAL ROTATION
AXIS
With the band saw set to the initial position displayed
(Fig. 29), block the vertical axis (A) inserting the end stop
(B) until it is flush, as indicated by the arrow (Fig. 30).
