4. Particular caution is necessary when the appliance is operated near children. Do not
leave the appliance unattended.
5. The appliance must not be operated by people with
– impaired physical abilities,
– impaired sensory abilities,
– impaired mental abilities,
– a lack of experience and knowledge
– or children
if they are not supervised or have not been instructed how to use the appliance by a
person who is responsible for their safety.
6. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
7. Keep the appliance out of the reach of children.
8. Keep children away from packaging material, as there is the risk of suffocation
among other things!
DANGER from electricity
9. In order to prevent a fire hazard, electric shock or personal injury, do not operate the
appliance outdoors and do not immerse it in water or other liquids.
10. Before you connect the appliance to your power supply, make sure that the voltage
indicated on the specification plate corresponds with that of your power supply.
11. The appliance may be connected only to properly earthed power supplies.
12. Connect the unit to a mains power supply through a fuse rated at least 6 Amp.
13. Do not let the power cord hang over sharp edges or hot surfaces.
14. The power cord should not come into contact with the appliance when it is hot.
15. The plug must be easy to reach so that you can pull out the mains plug immediately
in case of emergency.
16. Never pull on the mains cord to disconnect the appliance from the power socket.
Always pull the plug.
17. Pull the mains plug out of the power socket:
– when you are not using the appliance,
– if a fault occurs during operation,
– before you clean the appliance.
18. Do not try to repair the appliance yourself and do not ever use it with a defective
plug or power cord or when it does not work flawlessly or is damaged in any other
way. Send or deliver the appliance to an authorised dealer. Attempted repairs by
unauthorised persons void all warranty claims.
19. Do not touch the unit if your hands are wet.
WARNING about burns/fire
20. Never leave the appliance unattended while it is switched on.
21. Pull out the plug and let the appliance cool down before you clean it or put it away.
22. Never use the utensil near to a source of heat or steam, or close to flammable
materials.
23. Extreme care should be taken when moving the unit since it is full of hot water when
operating, or it may still be hot!
24. Do not touch hot surfaces without protection. Use the handles provided or a pot
holder.
