Installing the foundation plate in the finished flooring
For floors made of concrete (or similar material), you can secure the plate directly to the ground:
1 - Obtain suitable fastening systems, commonly found on the market, such as steel anchor bolts (Figure 11) or expansion anchors to be inserted with a few
blows of a hammer.
2 - Observing the distances indicated above, draw the drilling points using the plate as a guide, drill 4 holes of 10 mm in diameter and secure the plate,
making sure that the threaded bar protrudes by at least 25mm as shown in Figure 12.
3 - In some cases (rack already installed, possible stagnation of water, etc.) you can secure the plate in a raised position off the floor by a maximum of 20mm,
by placing 4 nuts and their washers under the plate as shown in Figure 13. In this case, the pins must protrude from the ground by at least 45mm.
N.B.: Make sure the floor is level and suitable for fixing with plugs. Regardless of the chosen fastening system, the plate must be securely fastened, perfectly
