1 - Turn the circular cover 180°, so you can see the triangular pin
2 - Insert the unlocking key and turn it clockwise until you feel some resistance (it takes about 15 full turns of the key).
Installing the rack
If you are using the screw rack it is advisable to assemble the modules to verify that the mounting points do not line up with the movement of the wheels (see
Figure 17).
Procedure for fixing the rack:
1 - Move the gate leaf into the fully open position.
2 - Set the first section of rack on the gear. Keeping in mind the dimensions shown in Figure 3a and 3b, mark the first drilling point. Temporarily lock the rack
using a clamp for instance (Fig.18).
3 - Drill and fix the first tab of the rack using the screw and washer as shown in Figure 19, checking that between the gear and the rack there remains a gap
of approximately 1mm (Fig.20).
4 - By sliding the gate leaf, bring the pinion near the second fixing tab, again checking the gap of 1mm between the gear and the rack (Fig.21).
5 - Do the same for the other fixing tabs, moving the gate leaf each time so you always have the correct gear/rack coupling.
6 - Now continue with the remaining sections of the rack. Each section has to be fastened to the previous one as shown in Figure 22. Use a piece of rack to
verify the correct alignment of the 2 sets of teeth and so as to keep the pitch of the rack constant (see Figure 22-23)
