4.2. Start-up

Connect to the rear panel of the instrument:
- The electrode or cell to the corresponding channel.
- The magnetic stirrer supplied with the instrument to ST 1.
- The plug-in power supply

4.3. Factory configuration

The sensION
is an instrument with 2 measurement
MM 374
channels; one of them double.
Channel 1:
- one connection for pH/mV/ISE and another for conductivity cell
with integrated ATC.
- allows the simultaneous or individual measurements with up to
2 connected sensors
Channel 2:
- One connection for pH/mV/ISE electrode and another for
temperature probe.
The factory configuration is as follows:
Channel 1
Units: pH + EC.
pH resolution: 0.01.
Isopotential pH. 7.00.
Temperature of reference (TRef): 25 ˚C.
Temperature coefficient (TC): linear 2.00 %/ ˚C.
Measurements: By stability with standard criterion.
In continuous pressing twice the key
pH calibration: in 1, 2 or 3 points, with technical buffers and
standard stability criteria.
EC calibration: in 1, 2 or 3 points, with molar standards.
pH calibration frequency: every 24 hours.
EC calibration frequency: every 15 days.
Channel 2
Units: ISE
Measurements: By stability with standard criterion.
In continuous pressing twice the key
Curve number 1.
Five points calibration, units mol/l.
Standards: 0.00001, 0.0001, 0.001, 0.01 and 0.1 M.
Common to Channel 1 and 2
Automatic sample ID.
Data sending, report type, etc. in accordance with the start up
configuration.
Re-programming
To perform any modification in the default programming, for
example measuring units of the channels, different measuring
modes, calibration with other type of buffers, etc. see corre-
sponding chapters.
Temperature
The temperature in Channel 1 is measured by the conductivity
cell. If there is not a connected conductivity cell, the temperature
value must be introduced manually or the instrument should be
programmed to apply the temperature measured in Channel 2,
see System, page 19.
Stirrers
In one standard instrument, Channels 1 and 2 will work with
stirrer number 1 (ST.1).
If you have a 2nd stirrer it must be connected to ST.2. Afterwords
it must be configured, see System page 19.
The second stirrer will be assigned to Channel 2.
