g.
Connect the connecting cable to the terminal block. See figure 21. Connect the wiring according the
position of the connected wires of the indoor unit (letters L N 1 and ground).
h.
The grounding cable can be connected directly to the metal plate on which the terminal block is
mounted. The position is indicated by the symbol
i.
Connect the power cable only when the entire installation of the air conditioner is completed.

ATTENTION
Insert the plug in a socket for models with a capacity < 4.5 kW. Connect the power cable directly
to the mains for models with a capacity > 4.5 kW Do not use a plug and socket. The high current
can damage the pins of the plug and the socket and cause fire.

12. VACUUMING THE COOLING SYSTEM FOR THE S 39XX MODELS.
When air and moisture is present in the cooling system, for example after installation, this can lead to
unwanted effects or cause damage as described below:
•
The pressure in the system rises.
•
Power consumption rises.
•
Cooling or heating efficiency drops.
•
Moisture in the refrigerant circuit can lead to frozen and blocked capillary pipes.
•
Water can cause corrosion of parts of the cooling system.
•
Damaged compressor
This is why the indoor unit and the piping between the indoor and outdoor unit always have to be vacu-
umed to remove air and moisture out of the system.
G
ATTENTION
Vacuuming of the refrigerant piping and the indoor unit of an air conditioner has to be done
according the applicable national statutory provisions. Vacuuming of the refrigerant piping and
the indoor unit may only be performed by a certified air conditioner technician.
13. CHECKING LEAK TIGHTNESS OF THE REFRIGERANT SYSTEM FOR THE SC 39XX
AND S 39XX MODELS
G
ATTENTION
Checking the leak tightness of the refrigerant piping and the indoor unit of an air conditioner
has to be done according the applicable national statutory requirements. Checking the leak
tightness of the refrigerant piping and the indoor unit may only be performed by an authorised
technician.
