1. Install End Seal
Several of the following steps involve installation of heat shrink tubing - this will require the heat shrink to be
carefully positioned and heat applied to shrink the tubing. Use Caution not to damage tubing during heating -
this could lead to fire, electrical shock or product failure (pipe freeze-up and/or water leakage through cable).
Excess glue can be removed. The End Seal constructed in this section may remain in the pipe and would be
subjected to water pressure. It is important to follow instructions carefully to ensure seal remains water-tight.
1.1. Lightly cut around the heater Outer Jacket
19 mm (0.75") from the end. Bend cable at cut
to break Outer Jacket.
1.2. Lightly cut Outer Jacket up the center between
first cut mark and the cable end. Bend cable at
cut to break Outer Jacket and remove.
Separate and straighten braid strands and trim
flush with jacket. Strands up to 3 mm (1/8") are
acceptable.
1.3. Slit the material separating the Buss Wires 3 mm
(1/8") in from cable end.

1.4. This is a critical step to ensure water tightness.
Follow instructions carefully.
Place a 51 mm (2") long Medium shrink tube
over the cable end extending 12 mm (0.47")
as shown. Shrink using a heat gun. This would
be the first shrink tube layer. Remove from
heat but while still warm use needle nose
pliers to squeeze end of shrink tube to seal as
shown. Excess glue can be removed.
